Plus Size Dresses
Plus size and plus
size fashion has been making amazing waves in the news and amongst the fashion
industry. As referenced in a previous article: The Year of the Plus Size Woman,
there is a movement going on here, and all I can say is IT'S ABOUT TIME!
Gone are the days
where mumus and tents were the only thing a woman above a 12 could wear. Gone
are the days where you have to be ashamed of your curves. Gone are the days
where being a plus is a negative. Gone are the days where you are abolished to
the dungeon of nothingness in the department stores!
When speaking of Plus
Size fashion and its strides, Glen from Full Figure Plus states in his article
that "Plus Size Fashion is new even to plus size ladies in that for so
many years making due with clothing that was just bigger versions of smaller
fashions has created a culture of confusion among ladies and even more among
men trying to shop for the special curvy diva in his life." Recognizing
this shift in awareness of Plus Size fashion calls for some gracious thanks to
those who have made it possible!
However, as we rejoice with happiness and glee, we must recognize those who have made and still are making these paths for us up-and-coming Fashionistas and Fashionistos who dare to challenge the status quo. If not for these ambassadors who stared adversity in the face, where would us Curvy.Confident.Chic. Fashionistas be.

Ok Ladies... let's
admit it... you usually won't find any plus size formal dresses that look good
in a regular clothing store. There I said it...Come on ladies... we've all been
there and we know the stuff I'm talking about right?! Some full-figured women
often have problems finding any special plus size dresses at all because some
stores just don't offer them.
But the problem is
you're still going to need a new plus size formal dress for that special
occasion right?
It's a good thing that
today; there are special stores which cater specifically to the plus-size
woman. However, picking plus size dresses still won't be that easy.
Plus size tops opens
the doors for big and beautiful women to create their own unique look. For full
figured women, finding plus size clothes can be a difficult task. Not only are
the choices limited but the available clothes are also very dull and
out-of-date. That is until now.
Before people
considered making plus size tops for full figured women, it
was extremely hard for big and beautiful women to look for tops that can
provide enough coverage for their larger frame since smaller framed women did
not require clothes that need to accommodate a bigger sized chest.
What woman doesn't
love plus size party dresses? Women love to dress up and go out to party. They
love wearing nice plus size clothes with beautiful colors that pop. And they
also like to keep up with the latest plus size fashion styles. For women, it's
important to look nice. It may not be the most important thing, but it's definitely
on their list of top 10. And the same goes for the big beautiful women or BBW
as they're most widely called. Thanks to plus size party dresses, the bigger
and curvier woman can achieve that goal as well.
With today's market of
plus size party dresses, the stylish and fashionable BBW have hundreds of
styles of dresses to choose from! The great thing about these plus size dresses
is that they are tailor-made and structured to enhance those natural curves.
They are specifically engineered, from top to bottom, to make a beautiful curvy
woman look even better in her natural fullness.
Plus size cocktail
dresses are great for a night out. They're flirty and fun, without being too
dressed up and formal. For full-figured women, choosing plus size dresses with
a strategic cut is important. When your best assets are your curves, there's no
reason to hide um. It's all a matter of de-emphasizing certain parts of your
body you don't want to draw attention to. This can be done by choosing plus
size cocktail dresses with the right cut and fit.
The cut needs to be
something that emphasizes and defines, so if you have a naturally large bust,
wearing a low cut top would be overkill. Drawing attention to a naturally attention-grabbing
body part will only work to your disadvantage. Opt for something with more
coverage. For large-breasted women, plus size cocktail dresses with an empire
waist works best, as it defines your waist. This cut also works well with those
who have broader hips, as it helps draw attention away from that area. Empire
waist plus size dresses usually have a flowing skirt.
